About Hampshire County Council
Wherever we work and whatever we do, our aim is always the same - to deliver the best possible services to the people of Hampshire. We work in close partnership with our communities, and their needs and opinions inform all our decisions, whether it's changing services now or laying the foundations for future developments. Their needs change all the time, and we work tirelessly to remain as responsive and effective as possible.
We're proud of the work we do, and we've enjoyed many successes. But good isn't good enough for us and we know there are certain areas that need more work. To ensure our progress continues, we've decided to focus on the following key priorities;
In all three areas we have ambitious aims. To achieve them, we're working with our many partner organisations to remove barriers and improve choices. We're also encouraging people to make their own decisions on the way they access services.
In terms of our structure, we follow the Cabinet Model for our democratic process. The Leader of the County Council is Cllr. Ken Thornber, the Executive Lead Member for Children's Services is Cllr. David Kirk and the Executive Lead Member for Adult Services is Cllr. Felicity Hindson. If you want to know more about the Council, follow these links;
